Day 1 - Happy New Year

Dexter hiding in dark wash - right colour match!
‘Happy New Year’ (I suppose there’s only one thing to call the first blog of the year!)

And that, I’m sorry to inform you, is what this is. The first of 365 daily musings on the year ahead..on occasions to be accompanied by appropriate visual aids when warranted.

Brace yourself, and feel duly at liberty to whole heartedly ignore the ramblings of this sleep deprived - but happy - thirty-year-old wife and working mother of one, with a penchant for chocolate buttons and an unbelievable ability to be found with ones foot in ones mouth on untold occasions, as I traverse 2014 with the same level of hope, optimism and enthusiasm as a Mansfield Town starting eleven!

This may appear to be some sort of New Year’s Resolution, but I see it as more of a challenge, a mission, a target if you will! In fact I’ve set myself some rules and regulations, in order to provide some respectable parameters to such a feat (if the word anal is springing to mind, try not to giggle like a teenager for its dual meaning, because I am and we can’t all be that childish!)

 - Every blog will be less than 300 words.

 - I will attempt not to swear, even when I reeeaaaally want to.

 - I vow to find something positive in every day - I call it the zen-like ‘Howard’ approach..something only a small few of you will understand.

As I’ve already used up 243 a of my word count, today will be summed up a brief sentence (I hope the picture will assist further!):

‘Thank goodness I checked the dryer before switching on!’

See you tomorrow for another instalment.
